Helpful Information For New Families

Start planning now! Start saving $1 a day for this big event—which are usually held in late January/early February—or encourage your child to ask friends and family members to sponsor them or pledge a tax-deductible donation to support their laps around the track. One of our biggest fundraisers, 100% of the proceeds go to our school.

Although Rosewood has a closed-campus policy (it is usually not enforced during drop-off the first few weeks of school), all parents are encouraged to attend the Friday assemblies following the first bell. It’s a great way to get to know other families and learn more about what’s happening at Rosewood. Mrs. Crowder also makes important announcements here, and hands out Student of the Week and Random Act of Kindness awards.

School photos are taken twice a year at Rosewood. The first session is in the fall—these are the more traditional portraits, shot from the chest up. This is the photo used in the yearbook. The second session is in the spring—these are more casual photos and include a full-body shot. Information and prices will go home with your student in their backpacks.

Yearbooks are sold at the end of the school year with proceeds going to FoR. In addition to featuring the official school photos taken in the fall, the yearbook team takes candid shots throughout the year, as well as during various themed photo days (i.e., sibling photos, school colors or Husky gear, Student Council, etc.).
